Psychedelic rock trio The Rainbow Treatment will independently release their first major single, “Emergency!” this July, with an accompanying string of live dates throughout 2019. The single was engineered and mastered by Chris Fogal at Black in Bluhm in Denver, Colorado. It will be available to stream and purchase on all major platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play, and Bandcamp.

“Emergency!” drops us into an exciting pop-rock landscape that is both deliriously dreamy and dangerously sharp around the edges. The song swirls and blossoms, and asks how we go on living in a world getting stranger by the day. According to singer and guitarist Will Rice, “Emergency!” is “a song about that twilight moment between being awake and dreaming, being young and being old. It’s about growing up and realizing that no one really knows what they’re doing here.”

Founded in 2017, The Rainbow Treatment have spent nearly a year in pre-production on a longer work titled InfinityLand that is scheduled for release in late 2019. The band takes its influence from artists like The Talking Heads, Smashing Pumpkins, and The Beach Boys to form a sound that is kinetic, joyous, and steeped in psychedelic roots.
